Vietri - Handmade in Italy...

We love when clients come in and discover Vietri for the first time or even when a long time Vietri collector sets their hands on a brand new Vietri item. Inevitably there is a long "I'm in heaven" sigh that follows. Although they may not be familar with the collections, when held in their hands, there is an instant appreciation for its beauty and its perfect imperfections. They have been described as pieces of art.

Not one piece will be perfectly alike; a slight color variation, the strokes of a paint brush may differ from one piece to the next, even an indentation (perhaps a thumb print) left behind by the skilled hands that have created them. All of which makes Vietri so incredibly yummy (yes I said yummy) and elicits emotion that just makes us all want to scream:

"Daddy needs some more lasagna!" or something along those lines anyway!

McBurney Love Affair 2012

Thank you to all of you who showed up for our Thomas Sabo Love Affair Event last week. We had a lot of fun hanging out with you that evening and showing you the new Thomas Sabo Soul Glam collection. For those of you who couldn't make it we wanted to give you a glimpse of what you missed!

It's just after 6:30 and The Love Affair Event at McBurney Junction is on! The lovely Maryanne has let in dozens of ladies who are excited to get an exclusive sneak peak at the new Thomas Sabo Soul Glam collection.

The event is another success. The store was packed, jazz music filled the air and the cocktails were a hit, as of course was the new jewellery. Thomas Sabo, as usual, did not disappoint with the new Soul Glam collection.

One of the biggest hits of the evening was the new Special Addition collection from Thomas Sabo. This collection takes charm collecting to a new level with larger charms that slip into hidden links on new silver bracelets or necklaces. These pendant charms are smaller than pendants in the Thomas Sabo Jewellery collections but larger than the Charm Club Charms. Look closely and you will see that none of these new pieces have lobster claws for a sleeker look!

One of the highlights of the evening was having some lovely ladies at our Love Affair Event to model some new lingerie from Forever Your Lingerie. We dressed them up with some Thomas Sabo pieces to enhance the look.

What is an event with out some delicious cocktails!? We served Champagne mixed with either our Cranberry or our Elderberry Presse's from England. Sorry if you missed them, they were delicious! We do still have some stock left of the Presse's so come in and ask for a sample taste!

We had the ENTIRE Thomas Sabo line available for viewing this evening so it was a great time to see something we might not have in stock.

Ah, here's the gorgeous McBurney Junction Crew plus the beautiful Shannon Hilton from Thomas Sabo who was the Thomas Sabo expert on hand for the evening who was there to lend a hand. Thanks Shannon!

Elderflower Winter Sparkle

Mix half and half: champagne or sparkling wine with Elderflower Presse. Add a few frozen cranberries for holiday colour.

Holiday Twisted Gin

Mix Elderflower Presse with Gin and a slice of lime for a new twist on the old favourite, Gin & Tonic.

Cranberry Holiday Punch

Cranberry Presse mixed with Orange juice and Vodka. Garnish with sliced oranges and frozen Cranberries.

Warm, Fuzzy Cranberry

Cranberry Presse is mixed with red wine. Add some Mulling Spice and serve warm. Can also be served as a cold beverage without the Mulling Spice.

Ginger Beer Blast

This flavour is great on its own or mix it with Rye for a blast of flavour.

Recently awarded the "2011 Best Gift for the Home" awards by Retail News, Reallite Candles from Abbott are battery operated, genuine wax candles. The patented ‘real flame’ appears identical to a lit candle.
