Abele tweeted Monday that all county offices and buildings will be closed on Tuesday.
While closing the doors there affects those who use county services, it also affects the taxpayers who pay for them.
Anyone with a court matter scheduled for Tuesday should report at the same time on Wednesday.
This will be the county's second cold closing. Last summer, courts were down for two days after an electrical fire in the courthouse basement. Each time, taxpayers paid county workers to stay home.
Tuesday's wind chills are too dangerous to ask jurors to trek downtown.
